Congress of Neurological Surgeons
Original Science Program:   Mentorship: Service - Education - Progress

Welcome to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Online Abstract Center!

The Digital Poster Center is now closed! We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans at the 2015 CNS Annual Meeting, September 26 - 30.

The Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) is committed to facilitating exchange of the best clinical and basic neurosurgical science in our Original Science Program.

The CNS Original Science Program comprises three distinct formats: Oral Presentations, the Neurosurgical Forum, and Digital Posters. Irrespective of presentation format, all original science abstracts are also made continuously available digitally throughout the meeting and then archived afterwards as online digital posters.

The Oral Presentations sessions of the CNS Original Science Program presents the highest ranked abstracts from each neurosurgical subspecialty in nine-minute platform presentations. The Oral Presentations sessions are organized by neurosurgical subspecialty and will be conducted in lecture halls on either Monday or Tuesday mornings of the meeting. 24 Oral Presentations will also be presented during the Choice Abstracts Session on Sunday afternoon. The creation of a Digital Poster is also required for Oral Presentations abstracts.

Abstracts presented in the Neurosurgical Forum are in the format of an interactive, poster presentation during the session on either Monday or Tuesday afternoon. Authors are asked to stand in front of their poster during the 75 minute session and engage and interact with interested meeting attendees and senior leadership about their poster. A formal slide presentation and talk does not need to be prepared. The CNS will print and display all posters on posterboards in the Forum. Posters will be printed from completed Digital Posters. The creation of a Digital Poster is also required for Neurosurgical Forum abstracts.

All abstracts accepted for inclusion in the Original Science Program will be displayed continuously throughout the meeting as a Digital Poster, available for review on multiple plasma screens in the Exhibit Hall in the convention center and also after the meeting at the CNS website. Meeting participants have the opportunity to review and print copies of any poster at their convenience throughout the meeting. Your original abstract will be converted to a Digital Poster and you will be able to further enhance it.

The CNS must ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all of its educational activities. It is an ACCME requirement that audiences at educational programs for which continuing medical education hours are awarded be informed of a presenter’s academic and professional affiliations, and the existence of any significant financial interest or other relationship an author or co-author has with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) or services.
